During these last years of the 1970s, Kerry Packed established a new cricket competition which was
World Series Cricket (WSC). This competition has set many stones and rules for nowadays cricket, including cricket uniforms. WSC’s plays were performed under the light and being streamed on the black screen. World Cup Prudential (1975 – 1983)

The champion got the name The World Cup Prudential as it was mainly sponsored by the Prudential plc. Every plays happened daily to a traditional way of playing, in which players wore a white uniform and used a red cricket ball.
During a conference taking place after World Cup 1979, the International Cricket Organizing Department came to a final decision to turn The World Cup Prudential into a worldwide event that takes place 4 times a year. Yearly, this most prestigious tournament of cricket in the world appealed million fans and spectators, brought a staggering number of money revenue for the host nation.
